Thus, the following will receive tourist resort status: Sucevita commune (Suceava county), Pojorata commune (Suceava), Baile Banffy-Toplita (Harghita), Borsec (Harghita), Negresti-Oas (Satu Mare), Baile Ocna Dej (Cluj county), Sangiorgiu de Mures commune (Mures county), Colibita locality (Bistrita Nasaud county), Moinesti (Bacau county), Baia de Fier commune (Gorj county), Boghis commune (Salaj county), Moisei commune (Maramures county).
The certification of tourist resorts represents, in addition to the socio-economic development of these localities, the possibility of accessing European funds – Axis 7 – Diversification of local economies through sustainable tourism development / Investment Priority 7.1 – Supporting employment-friendly growth by developing endogenous potential as part of a territorial strategy for specific areas, including the reconversion of declining industrial regions, as well as increasing accessibility and developing specific natural and cultural resources.
