11 Million EUR Investment in the New Terminal at Iasi Airport

On October 10, Iasi Airport inaugurated the new terminal, which required an investment of 11 million EUR. Construction work on the new terminal began in March of last year.
The new building has an area of approximately 3,600 sqm, 6 check-in desks, and will ensure a processing capacity of 320 passengers per peak hour.
The new terminal will become fully operational starting October 25, after all airlines and collaborating institutions install the logistics necessary for their specific activities, a date that also corresponds with the start of the winter aviation season, when direct flights to new destinations will be available from Iasi Airport: Munich and Paris.
The construction of the third passenger terminal, the expansion of the boarding-disembarking apron, and the perimeter road represent the final stage of a larger project, funded by the European Commission, with a total value of 56.7 million EUR.
