One United Properties, Romania’s leading real estate investor and developer of sustainable residential, office and mixed-use high-end projects, has partnered with Paris Society, part of the Ennismore Group, to open a Bonnie restaurant in the Mondrian Hotel in Bucharest.
Founded in 2008 by Laurent de Gourcuff and part of the Ennismore group, Paris Society has more than 70 locations in its portfolio and employs more than 3,000 people.
The brand develops its activities around four complementary poles: Restaurants – Events – Clubs – Hotels.
The first hotel under the Mondrian brand in Bucharest, which will have around 100 rooms, is due to open by 2026 next to the Romanian Athenaeum, following a partnership between real estate developer One United Properties (ONE) and hospitality company Ennismore.
The hotel will be built at 8-10 George Clemenceanu Street.
The Mondrian Hotel was first opened in 1985 in Los Angeles as Le Mondrian by the L’Ermitage Hotel Group, and was later acquired by Ian Schrager and Morgans Hotel Group in 1996 and renamed Mondrian Hotel Los Angeles.
As of 2021, the Mondrian brand, including the flagship in Los Angeles, is managed by Ennismore, following a joint venture with Accor, which is the majority shareholder.
