Entrepreneur Ionuț Nedea, founder of the travel agency Litoralulromanesc.ro, a business he recently sold to zallas Group, part of the Polish group Wirtualna Polska Holding, for a sum of over EUR 21 million, continues to invest in tourism, and is currently in talks to purchase a historic building in Bucharest, which he wants to turn into a 5-star boutique hotel. “I don’t think I will invest in the seaside tourism area, but in the tourism area in general, in Romania, I will most probably do so. I’m interested in Bucharest at the moment and we are even in discussions for a purchase of a historic building in Bucharest. It’s a project that will turn into a five-star hotel. We are still in a negotiation phase, so the purchase is not finalized, it is not certain. In the next couple of months we will certainly have something more concrete. The building is a historical monument, it is now being restored, it has all the authorizations, it is a beautiful project, with history, it is a large-scale project,” says Ionuț Nedea. The entrepreneur estimates that, if the purchase is finalized in the next two months, the hotel would be inaugurated at the end of 2025. Ionuț Nedea founded 20 years ago the travel agency Litoralulromanesc.ro, the largest retailer of vacations in the Black Sea resorts both in terms of number of tourists and turnover, with a portfolio of over 500 accommodation units where, in 2023, tourists made reservations with a total value exceeding 45 million euros. He is also a shareholder, together with his sister Anca Nedea, in the Opal Hotel in the Cap Aurora resort.
