Hotel International – Baile Felix will be affiliated to the Mercure brand, part of the French Accor chain. The company Turism Felix has approved a franchise agreement with Accor Hotel Services Magyarország Kft. Budapest – Bucharest Branch for the affiliation of the Hotel International – Baile Felix in the international network of the Mercure brand, from 2026.
Thus, Turism Felix will start a program of investment and modernization of the spa complex Hotel International to meet the international standards of the Mercure brand. The brand recently reached a historic milestone, exceeding 1,000 hotels worldwide.
Modernization work will start in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The majority shareholder of Turism Felix is Transilvania Investments Alliance (TRANSI), with a stake increased to 93.03%, after acquiring a 29.27% stake from Infinity Capital Investments (INFINITY) in March 2023, in a transaction worth 44.56 million lei (€9.02 million). Turism Felix operates 5 hotels in Băile Felix, namely International (4 stars), Termal (3 stars), Nufărul (3 stars), Poienița (3 stars) and Mureș (2 stars). In December 2023 it announced the co-option of Răzvan Pîrjol to the management team as general manager.
