Wendy’s, one of the best-known international QSR brands, will open its first restaurant in Bucharest on April 24, in the Mega Mall shopping center in Pantelimon.
“This is a proud moment for our company and the Wendy’s brand. We have seen a high demand from Romanian consumers for Wendy’s and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate the opening of this restaurant with a dynamic and exciting experience. We are grateful for our partnership with Mega Mall and look forward to offering our fresh and iconic Wendy’s branded products to new fans in Romania,” said John Chayka, CEO of JKC Capital, the franchise partner that owns and operates the Wendy’s restaurant in Mega Mall.
The menu includes flagship products such as Baconator, featuring fresh 100% Romanian beef, layers of crispy bacon, melted cheese and special sauces, Famous Frosty, spicy chicken sandwich, wraps, nuggets, and strips, and more.
The well-known American chain Wendy’s announced last summer that it had signed two new franchise agreements to enter Romania and Ireland as part of its strategy to expand across Europe. The fast-food restaurant operator plans to open hundreds of restaurants in Europe over the next ten years, with an investment budget of around 200 million dollars, starting in 2025.
