Hotel group Marriott International will open three new hotels in Romania over the next five years as part of a partnership with a local investor.
- Courtyard by Marriott Sibiu Downtown will open in Q2 2026.
The hotel will include 81 rooms, three conference rooms, as well as a restaurant and SPA area. - Courtyard by Marriott will open in Timisoara in 2029.

The project will have 208 rooms and suites and four conference rooms. - Four Points by Sheraton by Marriott Bonvoy will open in Cluj-Napoca during 2027.
The hotel will have 109 rooms and suites, various conference rooms and a restaurant.
“This agreement reinforces the demand we are seeing for international hotel brands in the region and supports the development of Marriott Bonvoy projects in Romania,” said Silvija Lovreta, Vice President Development – Central and Southeast Europe, Marriott International.
All hotel openings are coordinated in partnership with Romanian company Pritax Invest.
Previously, the international group teamed up with Pritax Invest to open the Courtyard by Marriott Cluj-Napoca Downtown.
Marriott International’s local portfolio currently includes six hotels, five of which are located in Bucharest.
