The Republic of Moldova was present at the Destination of the Year 2025 Gala, held in Sibiu, considered the most important tourism promotion project in Romania.
At this year’s edition, “Cricova” Tourist Complex was named the grand winner of the special Destination of the Year in the Republic of Moldova Award.
This nomination emphasizes once again that Cricova is more than a destination; it is a unique experience where tradition and modernity intertwine, celebrating the art of Moldovan wine, according to the National Tourist Office.
Cricova impresses with its unique underground city, with 120 km of galleries, rare wine collections, grandiose tasting rooms, a wine-making museum and a stone movie theater, all 80 m – 100 m underground.
The participation of the Republic of Moldova in the Destination of the Year 2025 competition contributes to increasing the visibility of the Republic of Moldova as a tourist destination on the Romanian market, which is one of the target markets in attracting tourists.
