Epoque Hotel Relais & Châteaux ended 2024 with revenues of €2.9m, marking a 7% increase on the previous year. Nearly 60% of turnover was generated by the accommodation, which recorded an average occupancy rate of more than 60%, while the remaining 40% came from the L’Atelier Relais & Châteaux restaurant L’Atelier and the events segment. The hotel hosted around 16,000 tourists, with most of them coming from the UK, the USA, France, Germany, Italy and France, confirming the attractiveness of the destination for international guests.
To support the development of the events segment, Epoque Hotel Relais & Châteaux has invested EUR 350 thousand in modernizing its meeting and reception spaces. Among the most important projects are the renovation of the Epoque Events Gallery and the creation of the Epoque Tasting Room, an exclusive private dining space with a fully equipped open kitchen, wine corner and a chef’s table for up to 16 people. The hotel aims to attract both corporate and private events, offering a mix of sophistication, intimacy and flexibility for a discerning public.
In 2025, Epoque Hotel Relais & Châteaux is launching the Epoque L’Art de Vivre event platform, designed to connect urban audiences with authentic hospitality and the art of refinement. This includes established concepts such as FestiviThé, the French interpretation of afternoon tea, as well as the SecrEAT dinners, where the appetizer remains a surprise until the evening of the event. An exceptional gastronomic experience will take place on April 6 and 7, 2025, when the Epoque Tasting Room becomes the setting for a signature dinner by Chef Mark Lundgaard of Copenhagen’s Kong Hans Kælder, a two Michelin-starred restaurant and Relais & Châteaux member, Kong Hans Kælder in Copenhagen.
The event will bring to Bucharest the culinary excellence of an iconic restaurant, the first in Denmark to be awarded a Michelin star, and will offer guests a foray into French tradition combined with Scandinavian minimalism.
