Răzvan Pîrjol is retiring from the management structure of Turism Felix, one of Romania’s largest spa operators, owned by the investment fund Transilvania Investments, taking over as managing director on May 1, 2024.
In the summer of 2023 it was announced that Turism Felix SA is starting the recruitment process for the position of General Manager and that, together with a team of over 600 employees, the future manager will play a key role in achieving ambitious operational efficiency targets and finalizing strategic investments, according to the plan agreed with the company’s majority shareholder, the investment fund Transilvania Investments.
The company operates 5 2*, 3* and 4* hotels and 3 spas. Răzvan Pîrjol has been working in the hospitality industry since 1997, having also served as Secretary of State and run the luxury hotel Suter Palace in the capital.
In 2023, Turism Felix completed the rehabilitation of Aquapark Venus, one of the company’s most important projects in the last decade. Completely rebuilt, following an investment of almost 14 million Euro, the swimming pool in the resort of 1 Mai, jud. Bihor, is part of the company’s asset portfolio, which also includes 5 hotels and 2 other swimming pools in the resort of Baile Felix. These include the 3* Hotel Termal, whose complete renovation was completed, also this year, EUR 8 million was invested in three years. With a slight decline in business, the company Turism Felix, part of the Transilvania Investments portfolio, turned loss-making in 2024. Turism Felix’s (TUFE) total revenues decreased in 2024 by 4.01% to RON98.33 mln to RON98.33 mln from RON102.44 mln in the previous financial year. Total expenses climbed 2.08% to RON 101.01 mil. from RON 98.95 mil. The company thus recorded a loss of RON 9.70 million, compared to a net profit of RON 1.42 million in 2023.

The company has recently finalized the process initiated last year to join the Mercure brand of the Accor hotel chain.
