OMD Mamaia-Constanța concluded its second participation at the Salon Mondial du Tourisme de la Paris

The Destination Management Organization (DMO) Mamaia-Constanta concluded its second successful participation at the Salon Mondial du Tourisme in Paris, one of the largest international tourism fairs, where the Romanian coast was one of the main attractions for French visitors.

From March 13-16, 2025, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles hosted the 48th edition of the event. Bringing together nearly 72,000 visitors, the Salon Mondial du Tourisme provided a connection between public institutions, the private system and destinations from around the world.

An important segment of visitors was represented by French seniors, who were extremely interested in staying on the Romanian coast. They appreciated the competitive rates, hospitality and charm of our resorts. Many of them were delighted to discover a destination where they can combine seaside relaxation with authentic cultural and gastronomic experiences.

While seniors dream of relaxing on the beach and strolling along the seafront in Constanța, young French people are eager for fun, adventure and festivals, and the Romanian coast offers all these experiences at affordable prices.

Many visitors in the 18-35 age bracket were interested in the electronic music festivals and concerts that enliven Mamaia resort every summer, as well as water sports, diving or exploring the Danube Delta, which is just a short distance from the coast.

Besides the interaction with the public, the OMD Mamaia-Constanța team had the honor to participate, at the end of the third day of the fair, in an official meeting organized by the Romanian Embassy in France, together with the other Romanian co-exhibitors.

The event was hosted by Her Excellency, Ioana Bivolaru, Romania’s Ambassador to France and State Secretary Terente Ciui, who facilitated a panel discussion on cooperation opportunities with French operators and strategies to promote Romania as a tourist destination. The dialog highlighted the need for a constant presence on the French market and the development of strategic partnerships to attract more tourists from France.
