The “Stone Age” tourist complex of Brănești Winery opens its doors to visitors

Located in a picturesque area, on the coast of Old Orhei, this underground kingdom The Cellars of Branești, every time awakens the amazement of many visitors from home and abroad. The Brănești winery is located in an old limestone mine, more than 400 years old, whose galleries stretch for 75 km. The entire construction is at least 60 m deep, ensuring a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees all year round and a humidity level of 90-92%, ideal for ageing wine. The winery is now working to launch the first underground hotel in Moldova and is developing a unique tourist complex “Stone Age”. This will offer visitors an opportunity to experience life in a cave as it would have been in the Stone Age, with little touches of the modern age. There is no internet connection or cell phone network underground, although this will always be available at the main entrance to the complex. Also a special place is the acoustically-specialized performance hall, where poetry recitals, concerts and other cultural events take place. The Wine Spa area, where special wine tubs will be set up to pamper tourists, is soon planned to open. The Brănești winery is housed in an old limestone mine, the galleries of which stretch for 75 km and cover an area of 75 ha. The entire architecture is built at a depth of 60 m, which helps to maintain a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees throughout the year and a humidity of 90-92%. The natural conditions are complemented by the skill of the people who transform the grapes into a Bahian liqueur. The winery has about 800 ha of vineyards located in a beautiful wooded area on the coast of Old Orhei, as well as in the villages of Romanești and Tudora. Most of the wine production is exported to China, USA, Poland, Germany, Romania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Baltic countries, etc. The “Stone Age” tourist complex of the Brănești Winery opens its doors to visitors from all over the world. Tourists will have the opportunity to discover the underground galleries, taste wine in the specially designed tasting rooms, rent houses for wine storage, participate in the cultural events, which will be organized in the tourist complex’s performance hall and experience life in the Stone Age. The hotel rooms, SPA area and “Stone Age” restaurant, where there is no access to internet and telecommunications, will soon be ready, so tourists will be able to fully enjoy life in the cave, far away from the noise of civilization and everyday worries (there is a mobile phone connection at the entrance to the complex). Located in the village of Brănești, Orhei district, in the immediate vicinity of Orheiul Vechi (only 5 km away), 20 km from Orhei and 50 km from Chisinau, the destination is easy to find.
