Accor in Q3 2024: revenues up 12%

The Europe North Africa (ENA) region recorded a 6% increase in RevPAR compared to the third quarter of 2023. France, which accounts for 45% of revenue per room for hotels in the region, benefited from the Paris Olympics. As anticipated, the event drove strong RevPAR growth in Paris. For the third quarter of 2024, the Group recorded revenues of EUR 1,434 million, up 12% compared to the third quarter of 2023. This translates into a 7% increase for the Premium, Midscale and Economy division and an 18% increase for the Luxury & Lifestyle division. In the third quarter of 2024, Accor opened 47 hotels, representing 8,000 rooms, or a 3.2% net increase in units over the last 12 months. At the end of September 2024, the Group had a hotel portfolio of 838826 rooms (5638 hotels) and a backlog of 231000 rooms (1380 hotels). Accor currently operates 22 hotels in Romania with 2397 rooms. For Accor in Romania, the third quarter was marked by the inauguration of the first Swissôtel in the country, located in Poiana Brasov, Romania’s first ski resort and a major leisure and MICE destination. Featuring 64 meticulously appointed rooms and suites, Swissôtel in Poiana Brasov aims to set a new standard for hospitality in Romania. Opening in early September 2024, the property marks an important new partnership for Accor and Swissôtel in collaboration with Norrma, a renowned local real estate developer dedicated to working with leading architects to create boutique projects deeply rooted in the region’s cultural heritage. The hotel will be operated under a 20-year franchise agreement.
