The four-star Bucharest Unirii Square hotel, owned by the Lebanese Sarieddine family and closed in 2022 due to the pandemic, will reopen this month through an affiliation with the international Accor chain.
According to market sources, it will be branded Handwritten Collection.
The hotel, located near Bucharest’s Unirii Square, was affiliated to the DoubleTree by Hilton chain before its closure and is the only hotel operating under this brand in Bucharest.
At the time of its closure in March 2022, the accommodation unit had 88 rooms, a 170 square meter conference room and was rated 4 stars.
After being closed for two years, the hotel reverted back to its old name of Bucharest Unirii Square and was affiliated with the Accor chain, which is now preparing to reopen in May this year.
The 104-room hotel now has a multicultural theme.
The accommodation unit will have access to the new Lebanese-themed restaurant Fairuz, named after the famous Lebanese singer, and TED’s Coffee café.
The hotel manager will be Kinan Sarieddine.
