eTravel’s expansion in Romania will take place exclusively through Accent Travel, providing local clients with access to the integrated Corporate Travel Assistant (CTA) platform, modern airline distribution solutions (NDC), and an expanded hotel inventory. Lucian Boronea told ZF that eTravel’s technology will support the scaling and digitalization of the agency, while Andrzej Wierzba, CEO and majority shareholder of eTravel, noted that the acquisition expands the group’s geographic footprint across Central and Eastern Europe. eTravel, founded in 2011 and also present in the Czech Republic, includes private equity firm Enterprise Investors among its shareholders, which recently also acquired a minority stake in the 18GYM fitness chain.
