Low-cost airline Wizz Air is expanding its presence in Romania by opening its tenth operational base at Bra\u0219ov-Ghimbav International Airport in December 2026. The decision involves allocating an Airbus A321neo aircraft and opening new direct connections, strengthening the carrier’s activity on the local market.<\/p>\n
By allocating the aircraft, Wizz Air will expand its network from Bra\u0219ov to 15 routes to seven countries, after having transported over 800,000 passengers at this airport from August 2023 to date. The company will launch four new destinations: Chi\u0219in\u0103u (from EUR 18.89, starting December 17, 2026), Barcelona (from EUR 30.34, starting December 18, 2026), Madrid (from EUR 30.34, starting December 20, 2026), and Karlsruhe\/Baden-Baden (from EUR 26.52, starting December 18, 2026), alongside the expansion of flights to Nuremberg (from EUR 26.52, starting October 26, 2026).
