City Grill restaurant group, one of the main players in Romania’s hospitality market, has budgeted investments of EUR 6.5 million for this year (respectively EUR 6.69 million converted from RON 35 million), a value more than double compared to 2025. Results from the first six months show a 2% growth, below the 10-12% target set for 2026, but management is counting on a recovery in the second half of the year through new openings.<\/p>\n
The group’s founder, Drago\u0219 Petrescu, stated that Romanians can no longer bear further price increases, so network expansion remains the main driver of growth. Recent and upcoming projects include a unit already operational inside the Constan\u021ba Casino, as well as the historic Cerbul Carpatin restaurant in Bra\u0219ov, with an inauguration scheduled for October-November 2026. At the same time, the opening of Ber\u0103ria Gambrinus on Ion Brezoianu Street in Bucharest is expected, in the space located right next to DeSoi restaurant.<\/p>\n
