The certification order was signed by Irineu Dar\u0103u, Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism, at the end of a nine-month evaluation process completed in mid-June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The long-distance trail, initiated by the T\u0103\u0219uleasa Social association, measures over 1,630 kilometers and connects Putna to Drobeta-Turnu Severin. It crosses eight historical regions (Bucovina, Transylvania, Banat, and Oltenia), ten counties \u2013 including Bra\u0219ov, where it reaches Pia\u021ba Sfatului \u2013 and 12 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Designed for hiking, cycling, or horseback riding, the project aims to develop local communities economically and promote cultural and natural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The new legal status imposes specific maintenance and conservation obligations on local authorities in the ten counties, with penalties provided for destroying markers, blocking access, or damaging infrastructure.
