The section’s infrastructure includes the construction of 36 bridges and passages, four tunnels, and three major road junctions for regional connectivity, located at Mo\u021bca, Pa\u0219cani, and T\u00e2rgu Frumos.<\/p>\n
Within the same project, the connection with the Moldavia Highway (A7) will also be established through a 5.5-kilometer highway segment, designed to ensure the link between the A8, DN2, and the Pa\u0219cani road junction. The interim Prime Minister also specified that the signing of contracts for the other sections of the A8 Highway will take place in the coming period, following the resolution of appeals. The A8 Highway is considered a strategic transport corridor, aimed at supporting the economic development of the northern half of Romania, consolidating the Republic of Moldova’s position as a regional logistics hub, and playing an important role in the future reconstruction of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
