The average occupancy rate of accommodation units decreased from 30.4% to 28.8%. To compensate for this decline, operators increased rates. According to HVS Europe, the Capital recorded the third-fastest growth in hotel asset values in Europe (+4.6% year-on-year), although values have not fully recovered from the decline of over 20% during the pandemic. In parallel, regional markets are gaining ground, cumulatively generating EUR 457.4 million in the upscale segment.
