The Republic of Moldova has officially inaugurated its first national pavilion at the 61st edition of the Venice Art Biennale, marking a historic premiere for the country’s cultural diplomacy. The artistic installation explores the theme of the current edition, “In Minor Keys,” proposing a reflection on the relationship between military technology and cultural imagery. The work uses drones to suspend traditional carpets between the floor and the vault of the chapel, with one of the exhibits originating from the village of Ol\u0103ne\u0219ti. Through this contrast, artist Pavel Br\u0103ila transforms drones, frequently associated with surveillance and conflict, into symbols of support and protection, using narrative as a form of collective solidarity inspired by the work “One Thousand and One Nights.”<\/p>\n
The participation is organized by the Ministry of Culture in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
