Arrivals recorded in tourist accommodation establishments in December last year totaled 548.5 thousand, an increase of 10.1% compared to December 2013. Of these, arrivals of Romanian tourists in tourist accommodation establishments represented 79.9%, while foreign tourists represented 20.1%.<\/div>\n

Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist accommodation establishments, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 76.1% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 82.4% were from countries belonging to the<\/div>\n

The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe – 93.8%, and of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 60.8% come from European Union states. Among the European Union states, the most arrivals were recorded from Hungary – 33%, Bulgaria – 24.3%, Germany – 9.7%, Italy – 8.1%, Austria – 4.6%, and Poland – 4.1%.<\/div>\n
