The new shopping center was built on the site of the former Tractorul factory and joins the network of over 30 hypermarkets owned by Auchan in Romania.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The mall has an area of 45,000 square meters and consists of a commercial gallery and a 13,000-square-meter hypermarket. The shopping center&#8217;s occupancy rate is 96%, with developers expecting a traffic of 8 million visitors and revenues of up to 6 million euros from rents in the first year. &ldquo;Auchan invested in Romania when other investors were leaving. There are developers who talk and developers who do. We have created a project for the next 50 years, for which it is worth getting in the car and driving for an hour. In June, we want to start work on the next stage, an investment of 8.5 million euros, and next year to tackle the first apartment block,&rdquo; said Tatian Diaconu, managing director of Immochan Romania.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Auchan aims to develop an additional 13,500 square meters of rental space in the second phase of the project, for which contracts have already been signed for over 50%.
