Over 60,000 tourists expected on the seaside for May 1st<\/p>\n

Over 60,000 tourists are expected to arrive on the seaside for May 1st, 15% more than in 2014, with the most sought-after resorts being Mamaia and Vama Veche. For the first time in recent years, several thousand foreigners will also visit, especially from Great Britain, France, and Germany.<\/div>\n

Mirela Matichescu, Vice President of the National Authority for Tourism (ANT), stated that the application of the 9% VAT rate for tourism packages makes hoteliers’ offers more complex this year than in previous years.<\/div>\n

Nicolae Bucovala, President of the Mamaia Employers’ Association, estimates that over 25,000 tourists will come to the resort this year, meaning all accommodation spots will be occupied.<\/div>\n
