Arrivals recorded in tourist reception structures in April 2015 totaled 638.1 thousand, an increase of 15.3% compared to April 2014. Of these, 74.8% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 25.2% represented arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

The largest share of foreign tourist arrivals in tourist reception structures was held by those from Europe – 73.7% of total foreign tourists, and of these, 84.7% were from European Union countries.<\/div>\n

Overnight stays recorded in tourist reception structures in April 2015 totaled 1,304.1 thousand, an increase of 14.1% compared to April 2014. Of these, 76% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists and 24% were overnight stays of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe – 92.6%. Of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 59.8% come from European Union states, and among these, the most arrivals were recorded from Hungary – 31.9%, Bulgaria – 28%, Germany – 9%, Italy – 6.5%, Poland – 4.5%, and Austria – 3.9%.<\/div>\n
