The Federation of Romanian Tourism Employers, FPTR, continued this study, introducing prices for similar products and services in our country.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This year, according to the study, Romania ranks 1st, compared to 4th place last year, being the cheapest seaside tourist destination among the nine analyzed, where tourists spend an average of 43.56 EUR for the eight common food and non-food items.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In the ranking of the cheapest seaside destinations, Romania is followed by competitors such as Bulgaria, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, France, Egypt, and Italy.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The holiday basket analyzed in this report included the following items: a meal for two adults (includes 3 courses and a bottle of local wine), a glass of wine, a pack of Marlboro Lights cigarettes, a bottle of local beer, a 1.5 l mineral water, a cup of coffee served at a cafe, and a bottle of Coca-Cola, as well as a factor 15 sunscreen.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Top destinations based on the price of the holiday basket:<\/div>\n<div>1 Romania Neptun &#8211; 43.56 EUR<\/div>\n<div>2 Bulgaria Sunny Beach &#8211; 50.53 EUR<\/div>\n<div>3 Spain Costa del Sol &#8211; 51.78 EUR<\/div>\n<div>4 Turkey Marmaris &#8211; 64.51 EUR<\/div>\n<div>5 Greece &nbsp;Corfu &#8211; 75.23 EUR<\/div>\n<div>6 Croatia &nbsp; Kvarner &#8211; 77.81 EUR<\/div>\n<div>7 France Nice &#8211; 90.34 EUR<\/div>\n<div>8 Egypt &nbsp; Sharm el-Sheikh &#8211; 101.71 EUR<\/div>\n<div>9 Italy &nbsp;Sorrento &#8211; 112.02 EUR.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The most expensive destination, according to the analysis conducted by FPTR, is Italy \u2013 Sorrento, where tourists spend an average of 112.02 EUR for the same goods and services.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cEven if spending a holiday in Romania could be a bargain for foreign tourists, for some Romanians, a holiday in their own country remains a luxury due to their low purchasing power.
