Summer 2015 was the best business season for coastal businesses, signaling record results for 2016 in tourism, transport, and construction, according to a KeysFin analysis based on financial data from companies in the Dobrogea region.<\/div>\n

According to the KeysFin analysis, in the last 4 years, the coast has attracted construction business worth over 15.7 billion RON, an increase of over 50% compared to the previous period.   <\/div>\n

Investor interest in construction for the coastal area is also proven by the evolution of the number of companies with this object of activity. Thus, while in 2010 there were 2,775 specialized construction companies registered, in 2014, their number increased by more than a third, to 3,416 companies.   <\/div>\n

Business in this sector grew significantly, from 2.21 billion RON in 2010 to 3.29 billion RON in 2014, and the prospects for 2015 point towards exceeding the 4 billion RON threshold.   <\/div>\n

According to KeysFin analysts, major investments in urban development are due, paradoxically, to opportunities created by the crisis. KeysFin analysts stated that since 2009, but most strongly in 2010, we have witnessed a significant decrease in the price of land on the Coast, but also in the Delta.<\/div>\n

The best example of the construction boom on the Coast is the Mamaia resort, where in the last 4 years, several dozen hotels with more than 2,000 rooms have been built, most with 4-5 star comfort.   <\/div>\n

A spectacular evolution was also marked by the Navodari resort, where, according to local authorities, over 100 guesthouses and hotels have opened in the last 2 years alone.   <\/div>\n

According to KeysFin, the evolution of the business mix in the Dobrogea area is not based only on large investors, with small developers also having a significant say.   <\/div>\n

Against the backdrop of the evolution of construction businesses, the profits recorded by companies operating in Dobrogea increased exponentially, from 169 million RON in 2010 to 239 million RON in 2014 and according to KeysFin analysts, preliminary data from the first semester, corroborated with signals from this summer, indicate an advance in the turnover of this sector by 25-30% and in profitability by at least 20%.<\/div>\n
