In just a few months, Bucharest will benefit from a project developed as a premiere for Romania, placing the Capital ahead of other European metropolises with a tradition in using thermal waters – Rome, Vienna, Budapest. Thermal water of a quality unique in the world, alongside over 800,000 plants, many of which are rarities or unique specimens, will recreate the atmosphere of a tropical vacation all year round, less than 10 minutes from the city center.<\/div>\n

The investment in Therme Bucharest is carried out by A-HEAT GROUP AG, a group with companies in its portfolio that have a history of over 80 years, headquartered in Vienna, a world leader in the field of industrial energy solutions.<\/div>\n

Construction work began in 2013, with the initial investment at 29.64 million EUR, and by completion, the total investment in Therme Bucharest will rise to approximately 50 million EUR.<\/div>\n

Hubert Spegel, CEO of the group, stated that the project will be operational this winter, when it is set to open its doors to the public.<\/div>\n

The development of the project is fully financed by A-HEAT Vienna. It also benefits from state aid worth 6.64 million EUR.<\/div>\n

Hubert Spegel, CEO of A-HEAT GROUP AG, stated that developing a Therme is as complex as an airport. Therefore, “the know-how of the leader in this field was essential in developing such a project. The Wund Group, number 1 in the world, has developed and operates several successful projects in Europe, including Therme Erding, Therme Bad Worishofen, Badeparadies Schwarzwald, Badewelt Sinsheim. Therme Bucharest benefits from the entire technological and conceptual know-how of the group, being by far the most modern,” Spegel explained.<\/div>\n

Among the factors that formed the basis for the development of the project in Bucharest, Hubert Spegel lists several social, economic, climatic, and architectural trends.<\/div>\n

“Here you will find not only thermal water filtered with the most modern systems, but also the largest indoor and outdoor garden in Romania, with over 800,000 plants and hundreds of tree species. We will have at Therme Bucharest the largest plantation of genuine palm trees in Europe, with nearly 500 specimens already acclimatized, but also an absolutely unique attraction: a specimen of the Tree of Life, which is among the botanical rarities of the moment. We have highlighted the uniqueness and resources of the place with a series of premieres not only for Romania but also for Europe, because we truly want to offer Bucharest residents the best leisure experience,” stated Hubert Spegel.<\/div>\n
