Of the total number of arrivals, 74.9% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 25.1% &nbsp;were arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist accommodation structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe &#8211; 74.8% of total foreign tourists, and of these, 87.7% were from countries belonging to the European Union.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Overnight stays recorded in tourist accommodation structures in September totaled 2,343.6 thousand, an increase of 16.9% compared to those in September 2014. Higher occupancy rates were recorded in hotels &#8211; 40%, tourist villas &#8211; 21.9%, motels &#8211; 19.1%, hostels &#8211; 19%, inns and agritourism guesthouses &#8211; 16.6% each, and holiday villages &#8211; 14.8%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, recorded at border points, were 856.3 thousand in September, an increase of 6.7% compared to September 2014. The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe &#8211; 91.9%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 55.5% come from European Union states, and among the European Union states, the most arrivals were recorded from Bulgaria &#8211; 31.6%, Hungary &#8211; 27.9%, Germany &#8211; 8.7%, Poland &#8211; 7.2%, Italy &#8211; 5.6%, and Austria 3%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Departures of Romanian visitors abroad, recorded at border points, were 1,056.7 thousand in September, a decrease of 12.9% compared to September 2014. Road transport means were the most used for departures abroad, representing 78% of the total number of departures.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Arrivals recorded in tourist accommodation structures in the period January &#8211; September 2015 totaled 7,707.8 thousand, an increase of 17.3% compared to those in the first nine months of 2014. Higher occupancy rates in the first nine months of this year were recorded in hotels &#8211; 37.2%, tourist villas &#8211; 23.2%, hostels &#8211; 21.7%, and tourist cabins &#8211; 20.6%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The most arrivals of foreign tourists staying in tourist accommodation structures with accommodation functions came from Germany &#8211; 214.9 thousand, Israel &#8211; 171.7 thousand, Italy &#8211; 158.9 thousand, France &#8211; 105.9 thousand, and the U.S.A. &#8211; 101.3 thousand.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, recorded at border points, were 7,205.5 thousand in the period January &#8211; September, an increase of 10.2% compared to the same period in 2014.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe &#8211; 92.8%.
