Of these, arrivals of Romanian tourists represented 78.6%, while arrivals of foreign tourists represented 21.4%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe &#8211; 74.6% of total foreign tourists, and of these, 85.4% were from countries belonging to the European Union.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Overnight stays registered in tourist reception structures in November 2015 totaled 1650.2 thousand, an increase of 17.9% compared to those in November 2014. Of these, overnight stays of Romanian tourists represented 80.9% in November, while overnight stays of foreign tourists represented 19.1%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Regarding the overnight stays of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe &#8211; 72.9% of total foreign tourists, and of these, 82.3% were from countries belonging to the European Union.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The average length of stay in November 2015 was 2.3 days for Romanian tourists and 2 days for foreign tourists. Higher occupancy rates in November 2015 were recorded in hotels &#8211; 35.3%, tourist guesthouses &#8211; 16.7%, hostels &#8211; 16.3%, tourist villas &#8211; 16.1%, student and preschool camps &#8211; 15.9%, motels &#8211; 14.8%, and agritourism guesthouses &#8211; 12.5%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, recorded at border points, were 637.8 thousand in November 2015, an increase of 10.6% compared to November 2014. The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe &#8211; 94.3%. Of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 58.8% come from European Union states.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Among the European Union states, the most arrivals were recorded from Bulgaria &#8211; 34.6%, Hungary &#8211; 31.7%, Germany and Italy &#8211; with 6.4% each, and Poland &#8211; 5%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Departures of Romanian visitors abroad, recorded at border points, were 953.3 thousand in November 2015, an increase of 11.2% compared to November 2014. Road transport means were the most used for departures abroad, representing 75.1% of the total number of departures.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In the period January &#8211; November 2015, arrivals registered in tourist reception structures totaled 9242.8 thousand, an increase of 17.1% compared to the same period in 2014. The net occupancy rate of accommodation places in the analyzed period was 29.4% for total tourist accommodation structures, an increase of 2.7% compared to the same period in 2014. Higher occupancy rates were recorded in hotels &#8211; 37.1%, tourist villas &#8211; 22.2%, hostels &#8211; 20.9%, and accommodation spaces on ships &#8211; 19.9%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The most arrivals of foreign tourists accommodated in tourist reception structures with accommodation functions came from Germany &#8211; 254.5 thousand, Israel &#8211; 202.3 thousand, Italy &#8211; 195.8 thousand, France &#8211; 127.7 thousand, and the U.S.A. &#8211; 123.3 thousand.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, recorded at border points, were 8618.8 thousand in the first eleven months of 2015, an increase of 9.3% compared to the same period in 2014.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe &#8211; 92.9%.
