Residents from 50 cities in China, India, South Korea, Australia, the United States, Brazil, Russia, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom responded to a questionnaire to choose the most admired city out of 50 metropolises, based on six criteria: international notoriety, place (transportation, location), culture, conditions (housing and public facilities), people (conviviality, safety, and cultural diversity), educational and economic potential.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The result, published on January 20, 2016, was that the City of Light ranked first, dethroning London.
