Arrivals recorded in tourist reception structures in March 2016 totaled 645.8 thousand, an increase of 11.1% compared to March 2015. Of these, 75.1% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 24.9% represented arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 75.4% of total foreign tourists, and of these, 85.6% were from European Union countries.<\/div>\n

Overnight stays recorded in tourist reception structures in March 2016 totaled 1,236.5 thousand, an increase of 6.8% compared to March 2015. Of these, 74.7% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists and 25.3% represented overnight stays of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

Among the European Union states, the most arrivals were recorded from Hungary – 32.4%, Bulgaria – 28%, Italy and Germany with 7.6% each, Poland – 4.2%, and France – 2.9%.<\/div>\n
