Of these, 74.8% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 25.2% were arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe &#8211; 73.5% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 85.4% were from countries belonging to the European Union.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Overnight stays recorded in tourist reception structures in April 2016 totaled 1471.5 thousand, an increase of 12.8% compared to those in April 2015. Higher occupancy rates in April 2016 were recorded in hotels &#8211; 31.2%, hostels &#8211; 17.4%, inns &#8211; 16.9%, tourist guest houses &#8211; 16.7%, tourist villas &#8211; 16%, and motels &#8211; 14.5%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, recorded at border points, were 763.9 thousand in April 2016, an increase of 14% compared to April 2015. The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe &#8211; 93%. Of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 58.1% come from European Union states, and among these, the most arrivals were recorded from Bulgaria &#8211; 31.5%, Hungary &#8211; 26.1%, Italy &#8211; 8%, Germany &#8211; 7.8%, Poland &#8211; 4.9%, and France &#8211; 4.1%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Departures of Romanian visitors abroad, recorded at border points, were 1258.7 thousand in April, an increase of 17.3% compared to April 2015. The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe &#8211; 93.8%. Of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 56.3% come from European Union states.
