Arrivals registered in tourist reception structures in August of this year totaled 1,571.3 thousand, an increase of 10.6% compared to arrivals registered in August 2015. Of these, 81.3% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 18.7% represented arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 75.2% of total foreign tourists, and of these, 86.7% were from European Union countries.<\/div>\n

Overnight stays registered in tourist reception structures in August of this year totaled 4,370.9 thousand, an increase of 9.7% compared to those in August 2015. Of these, 86.4% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists and 13.6% represented overnight stays of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n
