Arrivals registered in tourist accommodation establishments in November 2016 totaled 769.7 thousand, an increase of 6.3% compared to November 2015. Of these, 78.3% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 21.7% represented arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/p>\n
Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist accommodation establishments, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 76% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 83.9% were from European Union countries.<\/p>\n
Overnight stays registered in tourist accommodation establishments in November 2016 totaled 1651.4 thousand, an increase of 0.1% compared to November 2015. Of these, 81.3% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists and 18.7% represented overnight stays of foreign tourists.<\/p>\n
Regarding the overnight stays of foreign tourists in tourist accommodation establishments, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 76.3% of the total foreign tourists, and of these 83.8% were from European Union countries.<\/p>\n
The average length of stay in November 2016 was 2.2 days for Romanian tourists and 1.8 days for foreign tourists.<\/p>\n
The net occupancy rate of accommodation places in November 2016 was 27.3% for the total tourist accommodation establishments, an increase of 0.2% compared to November 2015. Higher occupancy rates in the analyzed month were recorded at hotels – 35.5%, inns – 21%, hostels – 19.3%, tourist villas – 17.8%, and tourist boarding houses – 17.1%.<\/p>\n
Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, registered at border points, were 690.6 thousand in November, an increase of 8.3% compared to November 2015. The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe – 94.1%.<\/p>\n
Of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 53.9% come from European Union states. Among the European Union states, the most arrivals were recorded from Bulgaria – 32.2%, Hungary – 25.4%, Italy – 8.9%, Germany – 6.5%, Poland – 6.1%, and France – 3.2%.<\/p>\n
Departures of Romanian visitors abroad, registered at border points, were in
November 1181.8 thousand, an increase of 24% compared to November 2015. Road
transport means were the most used for departures abroad, representing 65.6% of the
total number of departures.<\/p>\n
Arrivals registered in tourist accommodation establishments in the period January – November totaled 10208 thousand, an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period in 2015. Of these, 77.2% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 22.8% represented arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/p>\n
Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist accommodation establishments, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 74.9% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 85.5% were from European Union countries.<\/p>\n
Overnight stays registered in tourist accommodation establishments in the period January – November 2016 totaled 23848.7 thousand, an increase of 7.9% compared to the same period in 2015. Of these, 81% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists and 19% represented overnight stays of foreign tourists.<\/p>\n
Regarding the overnight stays of foreign tourists in tourist accommodation establishments, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 73.3% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 83.8% were from European Union countries.<\/p>\n
The average length of stay in the period January – November was 2.5 days for Romanian tourists and 1.9 days for foreign tourists.<\/p>\n
The net occupancy rate of accommodation places in the first eleven months of 2016 was 31.4% for the total tourist accommodation establishments, an increase of 2% compared to the same period in 2015.<\/p>\n
Higher occupancy rates in the analyzed period were recorded at hotels – 39.7%, accommodation spaces on ships – 26.1%, tourist villas – 24.5%, and bungalows – 23.2%.
The highest number of arrivals of foreign tourists accommodated in tourist accommodation establishments with accommodation functions came from Germany – 267.5 thousand, Israel – 231.8 thousand, Italy – 217.3 thousand, United Kingdom – 133.1 thousand, France – 136.9 thousand.<\/p>\n
Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, registered at border points, were 9486.2 thousand in the analyzed period, an increase of 10.1% compared to the period January – November 2015.<\/p>\n
The majority of foreign visitors come from countries located in Europe – 93%. Of the total arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, 54.1% come from European Union states. Among the European Union states, the most arrivals were recorded from Hungary – 28.3%, Bulgaria – 27.4%,
Germany – 8.5%, Italy – 7.6%, Poland – 5.6%, and France – 3.7%.<\/p>\n
Departures of Romanian visitors abroad, registered at border points, were 15015.7 thousand in the period January – November 2016, an increase of 24.5% compared to the same period in 2015.<\/p>\n
Road transport means were the most used for departures abroad, representing 69% of the total number of departures.<\/p>\n
