He suggested that he consulted with his advisors and state secretaries.

Thus, on Friday, April 28, a reorganization project for the institution appeared on the Ministry of Tourism’s website, and one of the points provides for the „abolition of tourism promotion representative offices based abroad, including the recall of personnel to the country, as well as the termination of all contractual relations related to the operation of these representative offices”.

External tourism offices have been operating for more than 50 years and, according to some tour operators who bring foreigners to Romania, they are the only entities that have promoted and continue to promote tourism abroad.

On the other hand, Minister Mircea Dobre speaks about the faulty operation of the external representative offices and the huge discrepancies in the cost-benefit ratio noted by the Court of Accounts in the report regarding the activity of the former ANT in 2015.

"The Court of Accounts never said that these offices should be abolished, but rather speaks and analyzes procedures, compliance with the law, and has nothing to do with performance management.
