Consequently, the second carry-on bag will be sent to the hold free of charge starting November 1, due to excessive delays during boarding and flights.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To encourage more customers to check in some of their luggage and to reduce the volume of bags carried on board, starting November 1, Ryanair will introduce the following changes to its baggage policy for all flights. These changes also apply to passengers who have already purchased tickets for travel from November 1:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The allowed weight for checked baggage will increase from 15kg to 20kg for all bags.<\/li>\n<li>Standard baggage fees will be reduced from 35&euro;\/&pound; to 25&euro;\/&pound; for this 20kg bag.<\/li>\n<li>Only priority passengers (including Plus, Flexi Plus &amp; Family Plus) will be able to carry two carry-on bags into the aircraft.<\/li>\n<li>All other customers (without Priority) will only be able to carry one small carry-on bag in the cabin, while the second (larger) bag must be sent to the hold (free of charge) at the boarding gate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>Priority boarding can be purchased for 5 &euro;\/&pound; at the time of booking or added later for 6 &euro;\/&pound; and is available up to one hour before the scheduled departure time.<\/div>\n<h3>Frequently Asked Questions<\/h3>\n<p><strong>What happens if I don&#8217;t have priority boarding?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can only bring one small bag into the cabin; your second, larger bag will be placed in the hold for free at the gate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How much does the new 20kg checked bag cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The standard fee for a 20kg checked bag has been reduced from 35\u20ac\/\u00a3 to 25\u20ac\/\u00a3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I still add priority boarding after booking?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, priority boarding can be added after booking for 6\u20ac\/\u00a3 up to one hour before departure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The low-cost airline Ryanair will no longer allow passengers without priority boarding to bring two carry-on bags into the aircraft.
