Romania is the preferred destination for Romanian tourists for this summer’s holiday, according to a study conducted by the hotel booking platform HotelGuru.ro. <\/p>\n
Approximately 80% of respondents who participated in a study conducted by HotelGuru.ro stated that they planned their holiday in Romania, whether they are Romanians living in the country or working abroad and wishing to spend their vacation in the country’s resorts.<\/p>\n
At the top of the preferred destinations in Romania are the Black Sea coast, Prahova Valley, the Danube Delta, and the villages of Transylvania. <\/p>\n
Over 50% of respondents specified that they planned their holiday in August. About 30% planned a vacation at the beginning of September, choosing this period due to more affordable end-of-season prices, lack of crowds, lighter traffic, and moderate temperatures.<\/p>\n
Over 70% of study participants stated that they allocate between 100 and 200 RON per day, per person, for a holiday in Romania, and between 75-150 EUR per day for a holiday abroad.<\/p>\n
Among the foreign destinations preferred by Romanians for their summer holiday are Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, and Croatia.<\/p>\n
Most Romanians (45%) go on holiday with family and children, 37% as a couple, and 15% with friends.<\/p>\n
The study was conducted on a sample of 2,615 respondents from Romania, who participated online in completing the questionnaire between July – September 2017.<\/p>\n
