Arrivals registered in tourist reception structures in August 2017 totaled 1,693.9 thousand, an increase of 7.8% compared to August 2016. Of these, 80.1% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists in tourist reception structures with accommodation functions, while 19.9% represented arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 73.9% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 88.1% were from European Union countries.<\/div>\n

Overnight stays registered in tourist reception structures in August 2017 totaled 4,537 thousand, an increase of 3.8% compared to August 2016. Of these, 85.3% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists, and 14.7% represented overnight stays of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n
