Alternatively, stimulatory measures should be proposed, such as reducing VAT to 9% for agency margins, which ANAT has been insistently requesting for several years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tax specialists point out that the most affected companies will be those with a gross profit margin of less than 6.25% or those recording losses, as they will be forced to pay a higher tax. This is the case for travel agencies that have an average commission of 7% of the package value, from which they pay one-fifth in VAT, plus operating expenses, and do not reach a profit rate of 6.25%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>ANAT is the employers&#8217; association of travel agencies in Romania, representing their professional interests at national, European, and international levels.
