New Tourism Minister wants to reopen closed tourist information centers in major world capitals<\/p>\n
2018 is a year for setting investment priorities and merging regulations into a single Tourism Law, according to Bogdan Trif, the new Minister of Tourism. Reducing bureaucracy is another priority.<\/p>\n
Investments in projects of national importance, drafting the Tourism Law, reducing the bulky legislation in the field, and creating a guarantee fund for tourist packages are the priorities of the new Minister of Tourism, Bogdan Trif, for this year.<\/p>\n
He specified that the Tourism Law is a priority on his agenda. Currently, we have an extremely bulky legislative framework; there are dozens of normative acts that tend to confuse the business environment in the field. We have somewhere around 75 normative acts regulating the field. I want to reduce their number, the minister stated.<\/p>\n
Also, investments in projects of national importance have a well-defined place in the ministry’s agenda this year. We will touch upon the most important nature tourism areas in our country: the Danube Delta, the Black Sea, and the mountain areas. Developing the infrastructure of the ski area – Fagaras Mountains – 200 days of snow per year, developing the tourist area in the Danube Delta and the resorts on the Black Sea coast, are at the top of the list.<\/p>\n
„In addition, I am counting on tourist information centers in the most important capitals of the world. Besides the 8 that existed and which I intend to reopen as soon as possible, I want us to reach other corners of the world,” Trif specified.<\/p>\n
