Paris and the Ile-de-France region, surrounding the French capital, attracted a record number of foreign and French tourists last year, specifically 2.9 million tourists out of a total of 33.8 million arrivals. In the last 2 years, tourism was heavily affected by the 2015 and 2016 attacks.<\/p>\n
