For now, there are around 10, but the trend is worrying and, if the state does not find a solution, their number will increase exponentially next year,&rdquo; said Dragos Raducan, first vice-president of the Federation of Romanian Tourism Employers (FPTR).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He says that, by not providing breakfast services, these hotels are forced to lower their rates by 20%. Some hoteliers are forced to return the money collected for breakfast to tourists, and others have found the solution of sending their tourists to eat at a neighboring hotel.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On the other hand, more and more hoteliers on the coast are trying to outsource their catering, addressing restaurant operators, especially from Bucharest. &bdquo;If in previous years there were companies that took over restaurants on the coast, now things have changed. Before, as a restaurant company from Bucharest, you would come to the coast for three months, invest in the restaurant and bring staff, but you still had a very high profitability rate. Now this is no longer happening because a large part of the consumers are from Bucharest who now no longer come even on weekends, but only on Saturdays. In addition, the number of apartments has increased significantly, and people come and stay in blocks of flats, and they buy their breakfast from major retailers. Then it is no longer worth it for restaurant operators to take over units on the coast,&rdquo; said Anca Nedea, executive director of the Mamaia Constanta Employers&#8217; Organization.
