Arrivals registered in tourist reception structures in August 2018 totaled 1,849 thousand, an<\/div>\n
increase of 9.2% compared to August 2017. Of these, 82.2% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists, and 17.8% represented arrivals of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 75.6% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 87.4% were from European Union countries.<\/div>\n

Overnight stays registered in tourist reception structures in August 2018 totaled 4,950.9 thousand, an increase of 9.1% compared to August 2017. Of these, 87.3% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists and 12.7% represented overnight stays of foreign tourists.<\/div>\n

Regarding the overnight stays of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 72.7% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 85.7% were from European Union countries.<\/div>\n
