Holiday vouchers have a significant impact on the Romanian tourism sector <\/p>\n

Tourism in Romania is on an upward trend, and holiday vouchers have contributed significantly to this growth. From employees and employers to travel agencies, everyone reports being very satisfied or satisfied with the holiday voucher system, according to a survey conducted by the Federation of the Romanian Hotel Industry (FIHR).<\/div>\n

Thus, in August 2018, the value of holiday vouchers was 17.1 million EUR, with approximately 1.3 million paper vouchers issued, worth 14.1 million EUR, and over 264,000 electronic vouchers, worth 3 million EUR.<\/div>\n

“We estimate that the total financial benefits, direct and indirect, for the state budget (including the social insurance\/health budget) reach a level of 45-50% of the value of the vouchers issued, at the level of the year of issuance,” stated FIHR representatives.<\/div>\n

The Government decided to grant vouchers in both 2019 and 2020. Thanks to the vouchers, the number of tourists in Romania has increased significantly.<\/div>\n
