On the other hand, 81% of business travelers use voice assistance during a trip, compared to 34% in the case of leisure travelers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In first place among the most used mobile applications are those of airlines, followed by those of hotels, price comparison tools, travel agencies, accommodation booking sites, and itinerary planning apps.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Travelport study, conducted at the end of 2018 on more than 1,100 tourists and 100 tourism specialists, shows that mobile applications are increasingly used and trusted in planning a trip.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The study highlighted that tourists prefer to receive commercial offers via email, rather than through notifications.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The main reasons why tourists choose to download a travel app are a good rating displayed in app stores and recommendations from a friend or family member.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A similar study conducted for 2018 showed that only 8% of the companies interviewed considered a mobile app development strategy important for their future success, while the current study shows that in 2019, such a strategy is considered the key to the development of all businesses.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>38% of airlines and 72% of travel companies are aware that they do not invest enough in services offered through mobile devices. They have also expressed their intention to increase investments in mobile applications.
