According to data centralized by the IRI Travel agency, tourists from the Moldova region are more reluctant to book an early booking vacation, representing over a quarter of the pessimists, according to the responses received (27%). They are followed by those from the Transylvania region, with a percentage of 22%, while those from Dobrogea are in 3rd place with 19%. Tourists from the Oltenia region are in 4th place with 13%, and those from Muntenia are in 5th place with 9%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, we can speak of a radical change in tourist habits, even after we return to normal. In addition to greater attention to safety, hygiene, and the security offered by the carrier, the hotel, or the destination itself, the way bookings are made will change radically. Tourists will want more flexibility in booking offers and especially the possibility to cancel shortly before departure. In the short and medium term, tourists will no longer make plans many months before departure,\u201d stated tourism consultant Traian Badulescu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most successful years for early booking offers were the last 2-3 years, when tourists had begun purchasing packages for the summer season as early as October-November. From my estimates, at least for this year, about 75% of tourists will no longer use early booking offers and will book 1-2 months before departure, Badulescu specified.<\/p>\n\n\n
