On November 17, National Geographic released its annual list of holiday destinations. This list comprises five categories: sustainability, family, nature, adventure, and culture, and one of the categories includes the Transylvania region of Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “sustainability” category includes six destinations from Europe, Africa, and the United States – Alonissos (Greece), Copenhagen (Denmark), New Caledonia (France), Freiburg (Germany), Gabon (Central Africa), and Denver (Colorado, USA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the “family” section are included: England Coastal Path (Southwest England), Transylvania (Romania), Space Coast (Florida, USA), Hortobagy (Hungary), and the indigenous region of British Columbia (Canada).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For “adventure,” the following were chosen: Dominica (Caribbean), Svaneti (Georgia), Los Glaciares National Park (Argentina), and the Danakil Depression (Ethiopia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the “nature” category: Isle Royale (Michigan, USA), Yellowknife (Canada), Cerrado savanna (Brazil), and Lord Howe Island (Australia). In the “culture” category: Guam, New Mexico (USA), Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava (Basque Country, Spain), Gyeongju (South Korea), Tulsa (Oklahoma, USA), and Tonglu (Zhejiang Province, China).<\/p>\n\n
