The National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT) and the town halls of mountain resorts announce a set of sanitary safety measures for tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example, Salvamont Brasov is discussing, together with the Cable Transport Association, that for closed cable installations, cable cars, and gondolas, capacity should be reduced and they should be properly ventilated by opening windows, and these should be periodically disinfected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Internal and Incoming Tourism Commission of the National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT) recently held several discussions with representatives of mountain resort town halls regarding the status of developing a plan for sanitary safety measures for tourists in Romanian ski resorts, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ANAT, together with the local authorities managing the mountain resorts, is thus approaching the central authorities with proposals for the sanitary security of mountain resorts, to continue promoting these destinations in travel agencies as a strategy to encourage tourists to visit the resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To date, ANAT has had meetings with representatives of local authorities for resorts such as Vatra Dornei, Predeal, Sinaia, Azuga, Poiana Brasov, Cavnic, and Lupeni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An official opening date for the season has not yet been established, but the resorts, along with economic operators, will refer to previous years, say representatives of the employers’ association. According to Valeriu Claudiu Stefan, ANAT Vice President, President of the Resellers \/ Intermediaries Commission within ANAT and the initiator of these discussions with local authorities, it was proposed to set a new meeting between ANAT representatives and resort town halls at the end of November or the beginning of December, in order to promote a final document with safety measures, which will be communicated to tourists before the official opening of the season. Additionally, Romanians will continue to benefit from holiday vouchers.<\/p>\n\n\n
