Tourist dissatisfaction regarding the way the beach was enlarged in Mamaia has modified the plans of the authorities who are already working on expanding the sandy area in the southern part of the coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The beach will be widened by only a few dozen meters, work will be carried out only outside the summer season, and the shells brought from the deep sea along with the sand will be better crushed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The area to be widened in this stage covers 6 km, between the center of Eforie Nord resort and Eforie Sud. At this moment, tourists have at their disposal beach sections that have a maximum span of 15 m. In the summer of 2023, the landscape will change radically and we will have a span of over 60 m. The beaches that will be extended start near Belona Port in Eforie Nord and reach the end of Eforie Sud resort. The beach expansion works in the Eforie area are estimated at 82 million EUR. Most of the money comes from the European Union.<\/p>\n\n
